Shavuot Holds Special Meaning at Beit Ruth

As Shavuot approaches, we find ourselves returning to timeless inspiration from a story read on this holiday: Megillat Ruth, the story of Ruth — our namesake — whose courage and determination to embrace a new path and build a new life, are deeply woven into the heart of Beit Ruth.

Ruth’s compassionate, heroic choices and her resilience are reflected at Beit Ruth every day, where our girls and young women create a future forged in connection with one another, rooted in dignity, and filled with meaning.

Like the Biblical Ruth, our girls have faced enormous challenges; they discover their strength and change the course of events for themselves and future generations across Israel and beyond.

This is what Shavuot celebrates at its core — not just tradition, but transformation.

It reminds us that choosing responsibility for one another, and believing in renewal — even though the way ahead is uncertain — are in our DNA. That spirit lives in all of us and all we do at Beit Ruth.

We are so grateful to you for making this possible, for helping each young woman in our care, and each of our 400+ Alumnae, write her own story of resilience, connection, dignity, and purpose — just as Ruth did.

Wishing you a joyful and meaningful Shavuot. Chag Sameach!
