Beit Ruth - Breaking the Cycle of Violence

Welcoming Benny Gantz and Knesset Members to Beit Ruth:

 We are proud to share that this August, we had the honor of welcoming Kachol Lavan leader and former IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz, along with Kachol Lavan Knesset Members Alon Schuster and Yael Ron Ben-Moshe, for an in-depth visit to the Village. 

 Their decision to include Beit Ruth in a packed schedule of meetings in the North is a powerful acknowledgment of the reputation and success of our work with transforming the lives of at-risk girls and young women in Israel.

 The visit with our girls was filled with inspiring conversations, thoughtful questions, and meaningful connections. Mr. Gantz asked how we prepare girls for the future, especially for IDF service, and was deeply impressed to learn that Beit Ruth far exceeds the national average for at-risk youth entering the IDF.

 During the visit, Mr. Gantz shared his mother’s story as a Holocaust survivor and told the girls, “Nothing in your past determines your future. You are the only one who can decide where you’re going.”

 His visit was a powerful affirmation that Beit Ruth is not just changing lives, but setting an example for what is possible when we invest in girls and young women.
