Beit Ruth Girls Represented Israel at Global Robotics Challenge
Two of our Beit Ruth girls were in Panama, representing Israel at the Olympics-style “Global First” Robotics Competition with 191 countries and more than 1,000 participants. Out of five youth chosen by Israel’s Ministry of Education from all the youth villages in Israel to represent the country, two are from Beit Ruth! Our girls are showing the world what’s possible when courage meets opportunity.
It’s amazing to think that the spark for our STEM Initiative was lit at our 2024 Gala, and because of the generosity of our donors, partners and champions, just eight months later, we launched our Robotics Program!
What began as a dream in the Beit Ruth Village has come to life — and the world is watching. Even Israel’s First Lady, Michal Herzog, sent her encouragement to the team — and it seems to have worked!
Team Israel won many rounds throughout the five-day competition and ranked in the top overall. Our girls came away knowing there's nothing they can't achieve and they've inspired every other girl in the Village to know she can too. The girls are beyond proud of their results in the arena and of the good will, respect, and friendship they built — for themselves and for Israel — with peers from around the world.
This is transformation before our very eyes. It's what we do at Beit Ruth. Our donors’ support opened doors to new possibilities that once felt unimaginable — and today, our girls are walking through those doors.
We are beyond proud for Beit Ruth's girls, the entire Village Robotics Team, teachers and staff — and beyond grateful to all the Beit Ruth supporters who made this possible.
