Journey of Returning Home

The following Therapeutic Reflection was shared by a Beit Ruth counselor who accompanied one of our girls on the type of Desert Trek we conduct within our Therapeutic Programs.

There are moments in my work when the heart just expands exciting and thankful for the merit. Today is a moment like this.

Just before the sun sets, I embark on a 24-hour field trip, including a night under the sky, with a dear girl. This journey is not just a trip, it is the official border line that ends a long and complicated period of distance, and it is her bridge back to us, to the safe space, and to herself.

Step by step, under a starry sky, we're going to leave behind what was, and pave a new path of trust, connection and security. Meet the darkness together, know that the way back always exists, and wake up together to the dawn of opportunity and a clean beginning.
