B’nai Mitzvah Program

MAZAL TOV as your child approaches a major Jewish milestone in their life. Becoming a Jewish adult means being responsible for one’s actions, and continuing to lead a life of mitzvot (good deeds). Beit Ruth’s B’nai Mitzvah Program is designed to inspire tzedakah (charity) among youth and provide opportunities for them to live their Jewish and human values of giving back to others.

Supporting your child as they prepare to become a B’nai Mitzvah is a meaningful way to engage them, and your entire family, in important Jewish values, including tikkun olam (repairing the world) and v’ahavta l’rayecha kamocha (compassion for others).

There are many opportunities to help repair the world through our B’nai Mitzvah Program. We partner with you and your child on a unique mitzvah experience that connects their interests and hobbies to our mission to heal and care for young girls who need us the most.

Here are just some of the many programs B’nai Mitzvah can support now and into the future.

Animal-Assisted Therapy: Through this specialized therapy with rescue dogs and horses, girls attain improved communication skills, confidence, and self-esteem. They also experience unconditional love that helps them to rebuild trust.

Art and Music Therapy: These evidence-based programs build personal and technical skills; uncover hidden talents and passions; and provide a safe medium through which our girls can communicate their pain and hopes for the future.

Academic Programs: Our intensive academic program helps each girl close the gap on lost years of education in less than a year.

Sports and Dance Programs: These programs introduce our girls to physical fitness and healthy lifestyle concepts, while also promoting a healthy body image. Girls learn teamwork, leadership, communication, gender empowerment, and self-confidence, all of which contribute to emotional well-being.
