Beit Ruth Relocates Residents in Line of Fire

In recent days, there has been a significant increase in rocket fire aimed at the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan area, with many landing in the suburb of Rishon LeTzion, where our Beit Ruth Hostel is located. In response, Beit Ruth has decided to re-locate the residents of our Hostel further north to our Beit Ruth Educational & Therapeutic Village in Afula.

At Beit Ruth, we strive to provide abused and neglected girls with the security and stability of their first warm, loving home. Now, as a result of hostilities in Gaza, our girls’ new home is under fire. Already emotionally vulnerable to the long-term effects of severe physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse and neglect, the ongoing threat of Hamas rocket fire only exacerbates the effects of the psychological traumas our girls are attempting to overcome. Furthermore, the stress, anxiety, and disruption to daily routine caused by Hamas rocket-fire threatens to impede the positive academic, social, and emotional progress our girls have been making at Beit Ruth.

In recent days, there has been a significant increase in rocket fire aimed at the greater Tel Aviv metropolitan area, with many landing in the suburb of Rishon LeTzion, where our Beit Ruth Hostel is located. In response, Beit Ruth has decided to re-locate the 13 residents of our Beit Ruth Hostel in Rishon LeTzion further north to our Beit Ruth Educational and Therapeutic Village in Afula. With your support, we will be able to fund emergency staffing allowing us to provide increased therapy for girls struggling with situational depression, adjustment disorder, and panic or anxiety occurring as a result of the conflict and relocation, as well as to ensure the continuity of their academic progress for as long as residents are evacuated to Afula.
